Software
research and development
Designed
and implemented distributed framework using CORBA and C++ to support
an existing parallel application in a heterogeneous distributed
computing environment.
Investigated
use of emerging distributed object technologies for scientific
computing, especially CORBA, Java, servlets, web servers and
browsers.
Developed
a portable parallel I/O performance test suite using Fortran90 and
MPI-2.
Designed
a C version of an existing large Fortran scientific library: resolve
language differences, minimize effort through automatic code
generation and checking, documentation design and production. This
library is now a Fujitsu product.
Designed
and implemented an object-based library for distributed sparse
matrices using C and MPI. This library was used in a commercial oil
reservoir simulator.
Investigated
methodology and design of algorithms for fine-grained, highly
parallel computer systems. Awarded Ph.D. for this work.
Designed
and developed cutting-edge scientific numerical library for
distributed computer systems.
Teaching
Developed
and taught intensive 1–5 day courses on parallel programming for
industry.
Developed
